Eagle Lake Depot Museum was established in the year 1911. Very nice place to spend time with family. This place gives you lot of information about the city. The depot was closed by the railroad in 1970 and the building sold to private interests – serving as an implement dealer storage, hair salon, apartments, dentist office, and Internet service provider, among others. They have artifacts from dozens of Texas short line railroads, and the agent’s office, waiting room, and baggage room look as if a train will be arriving and departing any minute.
